...and I think I'm going to go with Werewolf: The Apocalypse, because I've actually got ideas for it (which is more than I can say for Dark Ages: Fae. It's a great game, but that alone won't make up for my utter dearth of ideas for it).
I probably won't start the new Werewolf game until September, but I'll be working up rules and character submission guidelines in the meantime. Those of you interested in playing can point your browsers to
emshadows_ooc, the OOC Community for this game; I'll be posting rules and updates on the game there in the coming weeks.
Players should be Cliath (Rank 1) Garou from the continental U.S., Canada, or Europe. I might be convinced to take a (very) small number of non-Asian non-Garou Fera PCs with appropriately engaging background stories. Given the bad blood between the Garou and the other BĂȘte, though (hmmm, something about the "War of Rage..."), I'd like to keep non-Garou PCs to a bare minimum.
The players will begin the game at the Caern of the Windriders in Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C. From there, they will travel to the Court of the Three Treasures near Kyoto, Japan. The PCs' mundane "cover" will be as students studying abroad, so please keep that in mind as you create your character.
The characters will be attending the (fictional) Miyagawa School, a private, coeducational facility with classes from kindergarten through college, which is administered by the Court, and thus has numerous Fera and Kinfolk among both the staff and student body.
A caveat: This will NOT be a combat-heavy game. Characters created solely for combat will be at a disadvantage here. If you're looking for a game that's little more than a linked series of brawls, this is not the game for you.
More to come...

Date: 2005-08-10 01:25 am (UTC)From:Other than that, most of the other supplements are just icing on the cake. Merits & Flaws can be found in the Player's Guide to the Garou. Player's Guide to the Changing Breeds and the appropriate Changing Breed book would be good to look at if you wanted to play a non-Garou shapeshifter (one of the "Fera").

So, are the characters supposed to be lost cubs? Or can they have any background?

PS. how are you guys and the kits?
