Whee. Another evening wasted dealing with the infamous PBEM game I've been ranting about. :-(
But this is the last one, because I just sent an e-mail to the GM saying "I want to leave, don't try to dissuade me, my mind's made up." And you know what? I actually feel good about it. It's like I no longer have that hanging over my head, and now I can concentrate on games that are actually fun.
Don't get me wrong, it used to be fun. But after a number of disasters, it got to be a major chore to play in it. Now, though, it's over. And I'm feeling relieved. :-)
I just hope the GM can be a big enough guy not to be mad at me for leaving...
