Would someone PLEASE tell me HOW THE BLOODY HELL basing an ENTIRE FRIGGIN' SCENARIO around a PC equates to "punishing" his player? It's not *my* fault said player is a frickin' coward who won't take any risks IC (or apparently OOC, for that matter -- he got another player to do his complaining to me *for* him, the sodding coward...)
*grumble, gripe, snarl*
I really don't wanna answer said other player's e-mail, as it makes what I think are a number of unfounded accusations -- at least, I probably shouldn't answer it until I'm calmer.
And to think I was going to be honest with him, the frickin' idiot...my respect for him, which wasn't so high to begin with, is now firmly at the bottom of the Marianas Trench....

clueless player
Of course, with the day I've had today, I'd probably just tell him/her that my games were obviously not the type they wanted to play, and that I was really sorry about that, but maybe it would be better if they found a game they found more to their taste. :P But I /am/ in a foul mood.

Date: 2004-01-09 04:39 am (UTC)From:That's pretty much what I had decided to tell the "problem player" the next time I saw him. Of course, now, with the other player leaving, there pretty much isn't a game, but, eh, c'est la vie. :)
The e-mail from the other player mentioned above came out of the blue, at least to me. But I think I will use your "an entire plot that revolves around [his] character is a *gift*, not a 'punishment'" reasoning when I reply.
