[livejournal.com profile] lostsatyr and I saw Catwoman this afternoon. 'Twasn't bad. Not Spider-Man 2, but not bad. Definitely better than Troy, or King Arthur.

I caught a number of similarities to the Catwoman scenes in Batman Returns in this flick -- specifically, the heroine being dead and being revived by cats, the transformation sequence, and the "mouse-turning-into-cat" schtick. Of course, if you pay attention to the scene where the older lady is showing Berry's character the pictures of previous cat-women, you'll see a picture of Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in Batman Returns. Look when Berry's character has the pictures spread out on the floor. ;-)

Halle Berry looks mighty hot in that leather catsuit. ;-) It was like, "Oooh! Cleavage!" :-)

Sharon Stone carries off the villainess role quite well. Is her character's reason for doing what she does a comment on the hypocrisy of the cosmetics industry and its emphasis on physical beauty? Or am I just reading too much into things?

Mutagenic cosmetics...hmmm... I wonder if that could be slipped into a game somehow?

In the Guide to Pentex, for Werewolf, there is a cosmetics company that uses its cosmetics to infect people with banes. *grin*
